Important Note: This fee includes the online training course only -- the procedures and rules & regulations training.  This fee does NOT include the cost of completing your device proficiency demonstration.  DOT regulations require that both components be completed before the BAT is qualified to perform DOT alcohol tests. (Your device proficiency training must be completed within 30 days from the start of the online procedures training.) Please read ALL information on our website regarding this class before you make your purchase, to ensure a complete understanding of what this online course does and does not include.

*The online training course is self-paced. It is expected that the course takes the average person about 7 hours to complete. Your actual time commitment may vary depending on your reading and comprehension speed and how quickly you complete the exercises and quizzes. You do not need to complete the course all at one time. You may come & go from the course, but the entire course must be completed within 30 days from date of purchase. (An extension allowing access beyond 30 days will require an additional fee.)

**The DOT regulations 49 CFR Part 40.213 require two (2) training components before a BREATH ALCOHOL TECHNICIAN is qualified to perform DOT alcohol tests. No online or self-study course can meet both components, since the DOT rules require that component #2 (instrument proficiency training) be completed in a way that allows for real-time interaction between the student and a qualified trainer. (This may be accomplished by either live, real-time webcam training or face-to-face training.) THE COST OF THIS COURSE DOES NOT INCLUDE THE PROFICIENCY DEMONSTRATION OR DEVICE TRAINING.  Onsite and webcam training may be offered for an additional fee on the BAT's device (select devices only).

We offer LIVE and WEBCAM training on various alcohol testing devices (EBTs) including Alcovisor instruments such as the Jupiter, Mercury and Mark V; as well as on Intoximeters instruments (Alco-sensor IV, RBT IV, Alco-sensor Vxl, and the Alcomonitor CC), and Lifeloc breathalyzers.  Click here for webcam training information or click here for BAT training registration information.
