FRA Post-Accident Training for Supervisors and Railroad Representatives

This detailed online course covers the supervisor training requirements under the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) rules found in 49 CFR Part 219 (with the main focus on Subpart C -- Post-Accident Toxicological Testing, and Appendix C). This training will help FRA-covered supervisors meet the training requirement for post-accident determinations as specified in 219.11(g).

This course reflects the NEW FRA Rules, effective March 4, 2022, under which mechanical employees (MECH) are covered by the FRA's post-accident testing rules, as well as the rule effective June 12, 2017, under which Maintenance of Way (MOW) workers are covered by the Federal Railroad Administration's post-accident testing Regulations.

This is the most comprehensive post-accident training course for those in the railroad industry!

The FRA requires training: on the specific, contemporaneous physical, behavioral, and performance indicators of probable drug use, similar training on probable indicators of alcohol use, and training on how to determine if an accident qualifies for post-accident testing. To meet the FRA requirement, supervisors and managers should complete this course, as well as the Supervisor Reasonable Suspicion online training course.
