Breath Alcohol Technician Training
DOT Breath Alcohol Technician Training has 2 components:
1). Rules and Regulations (Procedures Training) – This portion of the BAT’s training is online and takes approximately 7 hours to complete.
2). Instrument Proficiency Training – 7 error free mocks, as required by the DOT Part 40 Rules. This portion of the BAT’s training may be accomplished by:
1). Attending one of our scheduled classes
2). Scheduling a class at your facility
3). Finding or having one of your own qualified trainer on your specific instrument observe the Instrument proficiency demonstration, as required by the DOT Model Course for Breath Alcohol Technicians.
NOTE: Breath Alcohol Technician (BAT) Certification proficiency training must be instrument-specific. Therefore, it is important that the BAT student receive proper instrument-proficiency training from a qualified Trainer on his or her specific EBT.
