Oral Fluid Specimen Collector Training for Department of Transportation (DOT) Drug Testing Now Available!
Certified Training Solutions LLC is excited to introduce our new Online Certification Training for Oral Fluid Specimen Collectors! The launch of our newly developed online training program is specifically designed to qualify collectors to perform Department of Transportation (DOT) oral fluid specimen collections in compliance with the latest federal regulations.
You can secure a significant competitive advantage in your industry by training your collection staff in advance and ensuring they are fully prepared to begin conducting oral fluid specimen collections immediately when the DOT gives the green light. Don’t miss this opportunity to stay at the forefront of regulatory changes and establish your testing facility as an industry leader. Be among the first to offer your clients the opportunity to take advantage of this new drug testing methodology for Department of Transportation (DOT) regulated employees.
(Note: Currently, we are awaiting the announcement of two HHS-accredited laboratories authorized to conduct oral fluid specimen testing. Until these laboratories are designated, oral fluid specimens should not be collected or submitted for DOT testing.)
As the DOT embraces oral fluid drug testing as a reliable and effective method, ensuring that your team is properly trained and qualified has never been more important. Our training course provides comprehensive instruction on the proper procedures, legal compliance, and best practices for collecting oral fluid specimens under DOT guidelines.
Certified Training Solutions’ convenient self-paced procedures training course, combined with live device proficiency training via webcam*, allows students to complete the qualification process for DOT oral fluid drug testing (collections) in about 8 hours.

Important Notice: The allowance and approval of oral fluid specimens for DOT drug testing does NOT mean that instant testing is allowed. Oral fluid specimens must be collected following the procedures outlined in § 49 CFR Part 40.73 which is very similar to how urine specimens have been conducted. All specimens must be collected, split, properly prepared, and shipped to an HHS certified laboratory for testing. No onsite testing is allowed at collection sites.
Thank you for trusting us as your partner in drug testing compliance and professional training!
In addition to oral fluid specimen collector training, Certified Training Solutions offers convenient and affordable internet-based training courses and webcam classes for all our course offerings, including breath alcohol technician (BAT) training, DOT specimen collector training and certification, online supervisor reasonable suspicion training, drug-free workplace training, screening test technician (STT) training, and more.
*As of 12/16/24, the DOT approval for the Quantisal II device has not yet been publicly announced, though it is anticipated soon. While it appears likely that this device will become the first DOT-approved oral fluid collection device, we cannot guarantee this outcome. Students purchasing the training and/or devices acknowledge the risk that the device may not ultimately receive full approval for use in DOT testing.
